Great Job So Far

 Dear Students,

Thank you to you and your families for bringing in all of the food items you have donated so far. Mr. D knows first hand how well we are doing: the box of donated items was very heavy! Remember that these non-perishable items are going to the Ottawa Food Bank, and will help families in need. The drive goes until March 5th, so keep up the great work!

Here are some more multiple digit games you can use to practise your multiple digit addition skills. You'll enjoy them:

A Snowy Monday!

 Good Afternoon Students,

I hope you enjoyed our "Snowy White Monday!"

SCIENTIST IN THE SCHOOL

Tomorrow we have a lot to look forward to; a real Scientist will be teaching our class on-line through the Scientist in the School program! It will be a lot of fun and is very "hands-on."

SNOWPANTS

We are hoping parents and students can help us. A student is missing his snow pants, and it looks like there was an accidental switch. They are "Liquid" brand. The size is 7-8. The snow pants we have been left with are Sunice Size 8. Here is a photo of the label:

Please take a look, as the student needs them and is very eager to get them back. Have a great evening!;

You can make a card or use one of the store-bought cards you were planning to give out. Take a photo, download it and then post it! Look for this symbol on your padlet message to upload it:

Snowshoes and Valentines!

Good Evening Grade 2s and 3s,

Remember that tomorrow is going to be an awesome day!

SNOWSHOEING:

Between 1:15 and 2, we will get a chance to go Snowshoeing. We'll come in after lunch recess to warm up for 15 minutes (I have some good Valentine's Day jokes for you, and then "A-Snowshoein' We Will Go!" Remember to dress extra warm for the event.

VIRTUAL VALENTINE'S DAY CARDS:

You are welcome to send the whole class a Valentine's Day card. Since we are not allowed to give out cards at school this year because of health and safety, why not send the whole class an E-Valentine's Day card? I have set up a Padlet for just this reason. When you enter your padlet message, upload a photo of a card you want to send to the class. (I have included a sample.) You can do it tonight, tomorrow or Saturday. I will check my account over the weekend to approve your card/post. My one rule is that it is for the whole class, not individual students. Click below and you will see.

I'll see you all tomorrow!

Mr. D:)
